Hugh E. McElroy

President and CEO

Hugh McElroy is Dallas Airmotive’s President and CEO. Mr. McElroy is a veteran aviation executive whose career is dedicated to the airframe, engine and accessory overhaul and manufacturing markets.

As President and CEO, Mr. McElroy leads Dallas Airmotive’s strategic initiatives to service turbine engine operators in the business and general aviation, airline, government and military, and industrial market segments. He is responsible for developing and directing the corporation’s business units through advanced strategic growth initiatives at Dallas Airmotive and its affiliated companies: Premier Turbines, and H+S Aviation Ltd.

Mr. McElroy was appointed President and CEO in September 2005. Prior to this, he was Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Millville, NJ operating unit from 1999-2005. The Millville facility specialized in the repair and overhaul of PT6, JT15D, Spey, Tay, Honeywell APUs and industrial turbines. His association with the Millville facility predates Dallas Airmotive ownership when the facility was part of UNC Airwork Corporation. Mr. McElroy held senior management positions with UNC from 1993 through 1999 up to and including President.

Mr. McElroy holds a number of degrees and accreditations including a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. He is an FAA Consultant DER, DAR and holds an A&P license. In addition, he holds a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance, and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

Active in community and industry affairs, Mr. McElroy is chairman of several state associations as well as a member of engineering and industry professional groups including: The Wings Club, NATA, ARSA, and the Society of Automotive Engineers.
